Great question, Yener.
When I say “God has called me to write”, I don’t mean there was a singular moment or direct instruction that clearly dictated my assignment as a human is to write. It’s much less obvious than that. The awareness of my “calling” was more a discovery made over time.
As I grew in understanding of and relationship with God, it became more clear how I could serve Him. If that makes sense.
If you’d like to learn more about how one knows one’s “calling”, or even how to “hear God”, here’s a great article that goes into it. http://www.todayschristianwoman.com/articles/2014/april/seeking-gods-calling-for-your-life.html
I like this quote from the article:
“What if I told you that pursing your calling isn’t really about what you can do for God?
As special and unique as you are, and as much as God loves you, he doesn’t need you to do anything for him. If he did, he could just send you a memo, right? What he wants, more than any accomplishment, is your heart. He wants to bring you into relationship with him.
To hear God’s calling, you must learn to recognize his voice, and there’s no shortcut for that.”
